Marketing study of the market of gas piston plants (GPU) with a capacity of 40 to 1000 kW

1. Identification and study of all Russian manufacturers of gas piston plants (GPU). As objects of the study, both the manufacturers of the full cycle and the company produce PSU based on engines of other manufacturers (including foreign) are included for each company presented the following information:

- the availability of their own production of engines for PSU

- powerful series of PSU produced


2. At the second stage, only those companies that currently produce PSU are selected according to the studied capacity. The main companies are studied-manufacturers (TOP-10). The following information is presented for each company:

- total production volume of PSU 40-1000 kW for the last year

-production structure in the context of the main capacities ranges (40-150 kW, 150-400 kW, 400-1000 kW)


3. The study of identified engines manufacturers for PSU. Collection and provision of information on the main engines manufacturers for PSU.

- total engine production for PSU

- the share of the use of engines produced for their own production of PSU


4. Analysis of import and export of PSU. At the first stage, all transactions containing the supply of PSU to the territory of the Russian Federation are selected. For each transaction, a "investigation" of power was carried out. From the general array of data, PSU are removed not related to the subject of the study. The remaining transactions conducted a scrupulous analysis and the data was presented in the following format:

4.2. Analysis of export of DGU and engines for DGU from the Russian Federation in 2012-2016.

4.2.1. The volume of exports in natural and cost terms.

4.2.2. The structure of exports in the context of countries.

4.2.3. The structure of exports in the context of manufacturers and the engines used.

4.2.4. The structure of exports in the context of groups-recruiters.

4.2.5. The structure of exports in the context of a single power of PSU.

4.2.6. Price analysis of PSU exported from Russia.


5. Analysis of imports and export of engines of the studied power (by analogy with the analysis of import/export of PSU).


6. Analysis of the import and export of PSU and engines to Belarus and Kazakhstan 2012-2016 (by analogy with P.P.) As part of this, an additional purchase of data was made


7. Analysis and conclusions. This section is based on the study and analysis of previous points, so based on expert interviews with representatives of large trading companies in the Russian PSU market.
