In 2011, the Russian market of glass composites demonstrated positive dynamics:
• Glass fiber tape, roving and yarn production up about 30%
• The production of fiberglass and products increased by about 25% compared to the previous year
GRP pipe segment showed the highest growth rate. So in 2011, Russian production & nbsp; fiberglass pipes increased by almost 2 times compared to 2010.
The further development of the Russian market of fiberglass pipes may be significantly affected by the implementation of the reform and modernization program for housing and communal services. So, within the framework of this program, the Russian housing and communal services will need 2.7-3.1 billion meters of pipes.
Until recently, consumption fiberglass pipes, incl. for the needs of housing and communal services constrained by the lack of a regulatory framework. However, from July 1, 2012, a new national standard for pipes made of fiber-reinforced thermoplastics was put into effect.
