In 2006, a nanocatalyst for mercaptan gas purification was created at Moscow State University, which is confirmed by the No. patent for invention No. 2326735.
By order of the "Foundation for Assistance to the Development of Small Forms of Enterprises in the Scientific and Technical Sphere" from 07/01/2007 to 12/31/2008, a scientific work was carried out dedicated to creation of demercaptanization technology (registration number of the accounting object in ER RNTD: 15019.7729527567.10.1.001/001, /002 and /003)
The pilot plant was successfully tested in the field in May 2008
In 2009, the project was submitted to Rosnano State Corporation and the RVC Venture Fund.
From May to August 2009 Industrial Information Agency in the interests of Rosnano research of desulfurization technologies.
On September 15, 2009, RUSNANO's Supervisory Board approved funding for a project to build the production of desulfurization units and introduce an industrial technology for treating associated petroleum gas (APG) from hydrogen sulfide and mercaptans using nanostructured catalysts.
In early 2011, the project received funding from RVC, and in March 2012 the Board of Directors of RUSNANO refused funding.
02/19/2014 The Grant Committee of the Skolkovo Foundation approved the provision of "Start-Catalyst" LLC; grant for the construction of a demonstration pilot plant for gas desulfurization.
In June 2014, the project of LLC "Start-Catalyst" entered the TOP-20 of the best investment-attractive innovative projects in the framework of the second annual All-Russian start-up conference of entrepreneurs and innovators Startup Village 2014.
June 3, 2014, in the final part of the competition, the project of LLC "Start-Catalyst" was introduced to the Chairman of the Government of Russia D.A. Medvedev, to other participants and visitors of Startup Village 2014.
According to the results of the event Start-Catalyst LLC received a cash prize and the Moscow Innovation Passport - a universal pass to a unified system of state support measures provided by the Moscow Government and development institutions to high-tech companies and promising startup projects.
