In 2007, the management of JSC "Pnevmostroymashina" started construction of a modern foundry.
It was assumed that the capacity of the new foundry - OOO "Polymet" - will provide the internal needs of Pnevmostroymashina OJSC; not less than 10%.
In 2008, the initiators of the project prepared a site for construction on the territory of the former precision alloy plant in the city of Polevskoy, updated engineering communications on it, and purchased a line for the production of casting blanks on lease. Due to the crisis, the output of Pnevmostroymashina OJSC and potential customers fell significantly, and the construction of the foundry was stopped. Modern equipment has been in storage for 5 years.
The construction of the precision casting plant continued only in 2013, after the buyout of OJSC Pnevmostroymashina new owners. To co-finance the project, the enterprise needed bank loans. A prerequisite for providing funding was the presence of a market study of precision cast iron, prepared by an independent marketing agency.
Taking into account the experience in studying the casting market, "Polymet" selected the Industrial Information Agency as the contractor for the market research of high precision castings. The information provided by the Industrial Information Agency allowed us to obtain the necessary funding.
At the beginning of 2015, an automatic molding line "Savelli" was installed, and on April 20, 2015, with the participation of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, a new production line was launched at LLC "Polymet".
Plant "Polymet" for the manufacture of parts from cast iron and steel, was included in the import substitution program and claims regional tax benefits.
